Offering an integrated vision of the emergency system, with the aim of quickly and effectively managing rescue in hostile contexts. This will be the guiding principle of the 24th edition of “REAS”, scheduled from 3 to 5 October at the Centro Fiera Montichiari (BS). Thanks to the partnership between Centro Fiera Montichiari, Hannover Fairs International GmbH and INTERSCHUTZ 2026, the most important global event dedicated to the safety sector held in Hannover, REAS is counting on the participation at the fair of the main players in the fire prevention, civil protection, first aid, aids for people with disabilities and workplace safety sectors. Each edition attracts 30 thousand buyers, operators and volunteers from Italy and abroad to Montichiari.
Although it is divided into macro exhibition sectors that make the visit to the fair more accessible, the International Exhibition for Rescue, Fire Fighting, Disaster Relief and Securitypromotes an increasingly integrated vision of emergency management. In complex disaster situations, the effectiveness of relief is linked to the coordination capacity of individual teams, each called to operate in a specific phase of the intervention protocol. For specialized operators and volunteers, therefore, a trade fair is attractive not only for the relevance of the exhibition part but also for the content offered. The fair also constitutes a valuable moment of dialogue and discussion “in person”, in which to test operational protocols and debate the main current issues.
“At REAS, the exhibition offering goes hand in hand with the content offering,” explains Ezio Zorzi, director of the Centro Fiera Montichiari. “Visiting the fair is a way to evaluate innovative technologies and services for the emergency sector and, at the same time, it is an opportunity to access high-level training content that involves Institutions, State Bodies and Associations with a leading role in the national emergency management protocol.”
On the exhibition front, the 2025 edition of REAS confirms the growth trend of companies in the fire-fighting sector. The participation of leading companies in the sector is increasing in quantitative terms, also with exhibition spaces and outdoor test areas that constitute an additional opportunity to exhibit large vehicles and propose product simulations. The growth of the exhibition part is accompanied by that of the conference offering. Even in the program of seminars, conferences and workshops proposed at the fair, in fact, the share of events that focus on fire prevention issues, in particular forest fire prevention, is increasing. Climate change and the consequent recrudescence of forest fires in Europe and around the world make it essential to intensify monitoring and prevention activities, making the most of new technologies related to drones and data processing, in which artificial intelligence will also play an increasingly decisive role. REAS 2025 will be an opportunity to take stock of the situation, combining scientific research and field applications.
As every year, the panel of training events and conferences will be proposed in collaboration with institutions, universities, research centers and associations in the sector.
