REAS can count on the presence of State Bodies and Bodies operating at the different levels in which the national emergency management protocol is articulated. At the top is the Civil Protection Department which, on the occasion of the 2021 edition of REAS, will illustrate its activities with a stand at the fair. Furthermore, at the ribbon cutting ceremony, the presence of the Head of Department Fabrizio Curcio is expected who, on Saturday, together with the officials in charge, will speak at some conferences and panels of the fair.
Furthermore, the Civil Protection Department will exhibit at REAS a particular self-propelled plate capable of simulating seismic events, created in collaboration with the Eucentre Foundation, the European Center for Training and Research in Seismic Engineering in Pavia. The project aims to promote awareness of seismic risk, increasing the awareness of the population. In fact, the instrumentation will allow REAS visitors to experience a seismic event and better understand the importance of a modern anti-seismic design of buildings.
The presence of the Civil Protection Department at REAS falls at the beginning of the third edition of the National Civil Protection Week (10 – 16 October) the third edition of the instituted in 2019 at the International Day for the reduction of the risk of natural disasters celebrated every year on October 13th.
Obiettivo della Settimana è sensibilizzare i cittadini sui temi di protezione civile, per un approccio consapevole al territorio che tenga conto anche delle nuove sfide globali poste dai cambiamenti climatici. Un cittadino consapevole, infatti, è un cittadino capace di scegliere, in grado di adottare comportamenti corretti per la riduzione del rischio e la salvaguardia dell’ambiente.
